Weather

As any weather forecaster will tell you, it is dangerous to predict the weather.

Spring: The temperatures and weather fluctuate at the beginning of spring but generally the weather, although some times chilly, is frequently fine.

Summer: The weather is generally warm during the white nights period of May and June. The weather can become hot reaching over 30°C which with the relatively high humidity levels can be uncomfortable.

Autumn: September and October can be particularly beautiful with foliage changes and some fine weather. Snow can come as early as October but is more usual in November or December. The temperatures towards the end of the autumn can change by 10°C or 15°C overnight.

Winter: Normally with snow and ice with a thaws starting in March. Temperatures are normally between +5°C and occasionally down to –20°C

Money & Currencies

The currency in Russia is Roubles. However US Dollars and Euros are frequently accepted.

Cash machines are extremely widespread in the city and frequently dispense not only Rubles but also in Dollars. Most travellers may prefer to use this facility rather than travellers cheques or carrying large amounts of cash.

There are cash machines and currency exchange facilities close to our hotel.

Hotel FAQ

Confirming a booking: bookings are confirmed with a credit card or e-money. (Fees are preauthorised but not deducted from your card).

Payment type : we accept most credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express.

Maestro and Electron cards can be used for payment, but not reservations, and then only when accompanied with the appropriate PIN code.

All our rates are quoted in Euros but we are obliged to invoice you in Roubles.

Cancellations: we accept cancellations up to 72 hours in advance. A charge of one night will be made to late cancellations or no shows.

Check in & Check out: Check in is 14.00 Hrs and Check out 12.00

Early check in: subject to avalaibility on the day we charge 50% of room rate

Late check out: subject to availability on the day we charge 50% of room rate

Children: because of our small size we are not generally suitable for young children. However please do talk to us about your needs. We intend to have a floor for families next year.

Smoking: we have a non-smoking policy for the safety and well being of our guests and staff. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to smokers. However it is possible to smoke in the cafe downstairs. Please talk to us about special arrangements

Wheelchair access: There are two short but broad flights of stairs to access the hotel and no lift. We welcome people with physical disabilities and are prepared to assist where possible. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Animals: animals are not allowed in the hotel but we may be able to make special arrangements locally.

Parking: parking is available if arranged in advance.
